Threefold Family RanchOur Mission

To Rescue horses, mentor children, and strenghten families by fostering hope through unconditional love

Horses - Ranch of Risen Hope - help children

Threefold Family Ranch’s main purpose is to restore the heart, soul, mind, and strength of kids.  Matching one child, one horse, and one mentor together for each session, we create a safe and secure environment where every child is receiving one on one attention.

What we do is free of charge for children between the ages of 5 and 18, who are experiencing the challenges that life can bring.  These come in many forms including mental, physical, emotional, and functional difficulties.  We only ask that the child attending has an open heart to want to be here.

Our focus is to provide mentorship, healthy friendships, build family relations, horse rehabilitation, and ranch-style activities to promote healing.  Our horses are used as the instrument to accomplish these goals.  The majority of the horses that will come to our ranch have a history of abuse, neglect, hunger, abandonment, were simply unwanted, and unloved.  Once broken, lost and hurting, are now loved on by children who themselves have been through many similar circumstances.  The experiences of the horses give them the ability to reach out to kids in a unique way.  The horses and children come together to help heal each other through unconditional love.

We are NOT a traditional “riding” facility, therefore if your desire is for your child to become an accomplished rider, we ask that you find riding lessons at a stable near you.

Every child that comes to the ranch is unique and has their own special needs that require an individual plan for healing.  Therefore everyone’s sessions will be specifically designed to meet their needs, as recognized by the staff.  Each session will last 90 minutes.  Based on the needs of the child and the needs of the horse, all of the sessions may not include riding.  This will be based on the mentor’s discretion, as well as the child’s.  Besides loving on a horse, other activities could include crafts, games, petting animals, exploring…  The first 10-15 minutes of most sessions will begin with a “chore” (mucking paddocks, pulling weeds, or working on various ranch projects).    We believe that volunteering is an integral part to a child’s healing.  We strive to teach our children they can do something to improve the life of someone else.  This fulfills an elementary need in every child’s heart, that is, the need to be needed.

Because part of our focus is to help build families, we require that a parent, grandparent, or guardian accompany their child.  We encourage you to be available to cheer your child on to victory.   All we ask is that you remain on the ranch, and use this time to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of the country and God’s creation.

We are not a religious organization affiliated with any denomination.  We are faith based, founded on the belief of God and His saving grace through His Son Jesus Christ.  Our faith is lived out through our love for the Lord, NOT through preaching.

For your child to participate, contact us at 210-445-3530.  Appointments are scheduled two weeks in advance.  We ask that you come for your first session 10 minutes early in order to sign releases.  Because of the unpredictable nature of horses and ranch life, you and each person you bring is required to have our current release form completed and on file before participating.  These release forms must be renewed at the start of every year.
If for some reason you are unable to attend your session, we would appreciate a call at least 3 days in advance to allow us enough time to give another child the opportunity to fill your appointment.  However, we understand unexpected schedule changes do occur last minute.  If this is the case, please call us as soon as possible.

ASSISTANCE, DONATION, AND VOLUNTEERING
Prayer
First and foremost the greatest gift you can give is prayer.  We need prayer for every child and family that enters our gates, for every horse on our land, and for the staff and volunteers.  Pray for protection, wisdom, direction, and healing.

Cash Donation
We are designated by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) non-profit and all contributions to TFR are tax deductible.  Although for participants and visitors the ranch is free of charge, running and maintaining such a facility is not!  All cash donations are greatly appreciated.  Unless otherwise designated by the giver, all monetary donations go into the general operating fund.  These funds are used to pay for expenses, ranch maintenance, and horse care.

Sponsor a Horse
You can sponsor a specific horse and all of their needs.  The average cost per horse is $250 per month.  That contribution covers all feed, shoes/trimming, basic vet care, and all other daily needs.

Donate Specific Items
We also greatly appreciate the donation of specific items.  If you are interested, we have a wish list available.

Donate Your Tack and/or Horse Equipment
Any equipment that is not needed will be sold and the monies will go into the general fund, unless otherwise specified.

Donate Your Horse
Horses kept by the ranch that are donated, rescued, or purchased must demonstrate an aptitude for acceptance of children and a willingness to work.  Ranch horses can be used up to 4 times per day and must be physically and mentally capable to do so.  Because of this, we are very selective in the horses we accept as donations.  To donate a horse, contact us via email or contact us at (210) 445-3530, and we will send you a questionnaire.  Mail to P.O. Box 730, Blanco, Texas 78606.  Located in Blanco County, Tx.

Volunteering
Volunteers are essential.  Individuals or families are welcome.  If you are interested please contact us at 210-445-3530.  Every person that wants to volunteer must be willing to have a criminal background check.  After this check is cleared, we will send you a questionnaire to fill out regarding your unique talents and interests, and schedule an interview.  Volunteer services are utilized on an as needed bases.
