Riding out on the trail!
When riding out always try to ride with a buddy, especially when riding in a new
area or on an unfamiliar trail. In addition to the joy of having company, a
riding buddy provides safety and help in the case of an emergency. In the event
that you are heading out to the trail alone, be sure that someone knows where
you will be riding, when you plan to leave and when to expect you back at the
barn. Also, when possible have a phone or some sort of communication with you
on your ride. Always remember to put you and your horses safety first.
